Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 October 2026
The short version: your selfies and scores are shown only to you and the friends in your squad. We don't sell your data, we don't use facial recognition, and you can delete your whole account from the Me tab at any time.
Who we are
Streakies is a game app run by Ramy Awad, an independent developer based in Egypt ("we", "us"). You can reach us at streakiesapp@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your account. When you open Streakies we create an anonymous account ID. If you choose "Save my streak with Google", Google signs you in and we receive your Google account ID, name and email address.
- Your username and selfies. The username you pick and the selfies you take (saved as a small, low-resolution picture). Your selfie of the day appears in games and in your streak calendar.
- Your game activity. Scores, personal bests, XP and level, your streak, which days you played, your list of friends, and in racing games a recording of your best run (your position on the track over time), which your friends see as a "ghost".
- Usage and device information. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, for example which screens are opened and how long a game lasts. It collects device type, app version, an app instance ID and your approximate country. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.
We do not collect your contacts, your precise location, or any payment details.
Your selfies
- We use your selfies only to show your face inside Streakies games, on the squad board and in your streak calendar.
- We do not run facial recognition, build face templates or collect biometric data.
- We do not use your selfies for advertising or to train AI models.
- Only add a photo of yourself. You can delete your photo or your whole account at any time.
Who can see your information
- Your squad. People who join through your invite link, or whose link you open, become your friends. They see your username, your selfie of the day, your scores and your streak, and you see theirs. Only share your invite link with people you know.
- Service providers. Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Google Analytics for Firebase) stores and processes app data for us; our database is located in Europe. Cloudflare hosts the website. They process data on our behalf and under their own security and privacy terms.
- When the law requires it, or to protect people's safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
Ads
Streakies does not show ads today. If we add ads later (for example through Google AdMob), we will update this policy before they appear and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, selfies, scores, streak history and friend connections straight away. Analytics data is kept for a limited period under Google Analytics retention settings, and server logs are deleted on our hosting provider's normal schedule.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your photo: Me tab → Delete my photo.
- Delete your account and all its data: Me tab → Delete my account.
- Change your username on the Me tab.
- To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or anything else about your privacy, email streakiesapp@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your data and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Streakies is not meant for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country, if higher). We don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, and our database rules only let you change your own data and only let your friends read your profile. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't upload anything you would not want your friends to see.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours. They use safeguards required by law for these transfers.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For important changes, we will also tell you in the app.
